Ready, Set, Go! Pre-Nepal Post #5

In less than an hour, I will be with my team at training camp!

It's finally today. I've been waiting forever it seems like. I had such an awful time sleeping last night because I was so excited! Along with all the excitement of greeting all of my new friends comes the sadness of saying goodbye. Every time I've said goodbye to someone, they always say, "Stay safe! I love you!" One of the coolest goodbyes I got was from a family friend. She said it to me in Yiddish, but the translation is to my knowledge, "Go in health. Return in health. Have fun in between."

It's obvious that I am loved. More than knowing that I'm loved, I know in my heart that God will protect me. In Psalm 5:11 says,"But let all who take refuge in you be glad; let them ever sing for joy. Spread your protection over them, that those who love your name may rejoice in you."

I am so blessed to be on this trip. This very easily could change my life. I'm so excited for all that's going to go down this summer.

As you pray for my team, please pray that we will all mesh well without conflict, that we will be able to learn everything this week that we need to know to have a successful summer, and that we will all be able to grow closer to God through this experience.

I CAN'T BELIEVE IT'S FINALLY HERE!!!!

The picture below is me with my new backpack & my box:) We bring all of our stuff to training camp in a cardboard box and then they give us a new duffel bag so that we all match!

Country Music & Commissioning: Pre-Nepal Post #3

I am a huge country music fan, and for most country music fans Summer Nights by Rascal Flatts is the anthem of summer. The theme of the song is to relax, party up on the beach, and laze away the days. That's just not my kind of summer.
